Buying a Home
Filled with late 19th and early 20th century cottages, bungalows and Victorian homes the 9th and 9th, East Liberty and Sugar House neighborhoods of Salt Lake City provide you with an eclectic and diverse mixture of architectural styles and homes. Built with ingrained character, many homes feature amazing details with leaded glass windows, dark wood moulding, scroll work and beautiful, ornate fire places. If you are looking for something a little more modern, you will find that as well. Recent trends are bringing “urban infill” homes to lots where the original home was no longer salvageable. Amongst these homes you find traditional construction and ultra modern dwellings. Many have been built green and LEED for homes certifications are being sought on some. If green is your thing and energy savings along with lower utility bills are what you are looking for, many homes have been well updated and even more are ready for your green updates and to take that step into the green future of homes.
One thing is for certain in this area of Salt Lake City and that is that almost anyone can find the home that will suit them and their style. Along with that you will also find an amazing neighborhood with close access to parks, major shopping centers, the center of the city and quirky neighborhood centers where you can dine in local restaurants, shop in locally owned stores and sip fine coffee. Almost everything is within walking distance and Salt Lake City’s farmers market is a 15 minute bicycle ride away.
It can’t get better than this!

I like to walk, I like to ride my bike, I like to join the gallery strolls, dine at neighborhood restaurants, shop at the neighborhood produce stands and pick up my paper from the corner market. To do all of these things, my family makes our home in the Downtown Salt Lake City Neighborhood of East Liberty/Sugarhouse. When we take time off we enjoy traveling throughout Utah, The United States, Europe and Asia.
Nothing beats working with a neighbor when you are looking for a home in a specific area. They know what the homes are like, what loan packages work best for the area and any special programs that may be available to buyers in the area. So it is always wise to choose a mortgage expert who knows the neighborhood where you are looking.
